On Wednesday 17th July we finally got the opportunity to present our petition to #SaveVida to a full Council Meeting, chaired by the Lord Mayor Jayne Dunn.
Thank you to our speakers who addressed Sheffield City Council, to the Lord Mayor and Councillors that heard from Vida’s CEO Karen Hague MBE, Vida’s Chair of Trustees Marilyn Gregory and our wonderful service user who received a standing ovation, to the supporters who turned up to wave banners and hand out leaflets and to everyone that stopped to find out more about our service.
We are still some way from securing ongoing statutory funding to #saveourservice but the Council have pledged their support to move things forward in order to help us #SaveVida
