Celebrating Innovation in Trauma Therapy

We’re proud to share that Vida’s Clinical Manager Jane McClaren and Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist Patricia Gregory have published an article in the latest issue of CBT Today.

The article evidences the clinical outcomes of our Eva Therapy Service “Life After Trauma” group — an innovative blended model combining structured group therapy with targeted 1:1 sessions.

Developed in response to rising demand for specialist trauma services and limited sector resources, this model demonstrates how high-quality, gender-sensitive, trauma-informed therapy can be delivered in ways that are both clinically robust and more accessible to survivors.

The findings show significant reductions in PTSD and trauma-related symptoms among women who have experienced domestic abuse, particularly those who had previously faced barriers to accessing or remaining in individual trauma-focused therapy.

In the context of unprecedented demand and constrained funding, innovation is not optional — it is essential. Through sharing this work nationally, VIDA is contributing to shaping sustainable, trauma-informed approaches across the sector. Read the article here:
