Eva Therapy Service Referrals Are Currently CLOSED

Eva Therapy Service

Eva Therapy Service is for women and girls (16+) whose lives are affected by any kind of abuse and trauma. Often, those who have experienced abuse can develop depression, anxiety and symptoms associated with post traumatic stress.

For some survivors the effects can reduce once they are living safely but, for others, symptoms can develop over several years, when they are no longer living with the abuse.

Abuse and trauma, experienced as children or adults, can leave us feeling isolated, ashamed and worthless. Post traumatic stress symptoms can include flashbacks, nightmares, intrusive thoughts and images, being over-vigilant as if you are still living with the abuse. Many of our service users have considered self-harm and suicide.

No-one should have to live like this. Trauma-focused therapy can help you to recover and move on with your life. For you to benefit from our service it needs to have been at least 6 months since you were experiencing the abuse; you should be living safely and not in temporary accommodation; and not using any other mental health service at the same time.

Vida are offering blended services, with a combination of face-to-face and remote therapy services available.

Eva Therapy Service can offer:

  • Initial Assessment : once your referral has been accepted, you will be offered a 1:1 assessment appointment with a therapist
  • New Beginnings group work programme to prepare for therapy
